In late February 2009 We Take The Cake purchased a warehouse facility in Fort Lauderdale to convert into baking facility. Because the facility would be for food preparation the state and local building code requirements were very stringent. In addition, we were under considerable time constraints as the lease on our existing baking facility was scheduled to expire on May 31, 2009. Barron Development came highly recommended from a friend who had used them to build a very high end home along a canal in Fort Lauderdale.
Jim Barron and his team were superb. Jim immediately took control of the process including permitting, sub-contractor pre-qualification, bidding, contracts, scheduling and site and contractor supervision. He kept us updated at each step of the project and ensured that we were made aware of any issues as they arose. Despite several delays by the city the project was completed before the May 31st deadline and well within the budget that Jim had developed with us.
We found Jim and his team to be very professional and always prompt at returning calls and addressing issues. From permitting , architectural drawing and through insurance Jim was very sensitive about ensuring that our needs were met, that our interests were protected and that the sub-contractors provided quality workmanship. If we undertook another building or renovation project we would not hesitate to use Barron Development again.
